Refund policy
If you paid for something on abbieysearch and you aren’t happy with it, you can get your money back. No lawyer-speak below.
14-day, no-questions-asked refund
Any one-time purchase (search unlock, API access credit) is fully refundable for 14 days from the date of the Stripe charge. We don’t ask why. Email refunds@abbieysearch.com with the email address you paid with and we’ll refund to the original payment method, typically within 2 business days.
After 14 days
One-time purchases become non-refundable after 14 days — with two exceptions:
- We screwed up. If the feature you paid for was broken or unavailable for more than an hour during your usage window, email us. We will refund proportionally.
- Fraudulent charge. If someone else used your card, file a chargeback — we won’t dispute it and we will permanently revoke any resulting account.
API credits (metered)
For metered API billing, we only charge at the end of the billing period based on Stripe Meter usage. If the total looks wrong, email us within 30 days of the invoice and we will reconcile against the public row-level events in your account (/developer).
Data deletion
A refund automatically cancels any associated account access. If you also want your account deleted and server-side data purged, reply to the refund email with “please delete my data” and we will remove your account, bookmarks, and search history within 7 days. Payment records are retained as required by tax law (typically 7 years).
